EMDR

EMDR, which stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, is a form of psychotherapy designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories.

It is employed to treat conditions such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues stemming from adverse life experiences.

Individual Counselling

For individual counselling, Dean utilises a variety of evidence-based therapies. Some of these include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma treatment, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and Somatic Therapy.

Somatic Therapy

By working slowly and respectfully with the nervous system, you can process traumatic stress without becoming overwhelmed. Many trauma survivors find relief as their body completes the protective responses that were interrupted at the time of the trauma. This process can reduce symptoms like hypervigilance, nightmares, or emotional numbness. Over time, you build resilience and learn that it’s possible to feel safe and comfortable in your own body again, even after everything you’ve been through.
